Thiruvananthapuram: A CBI court below on Tuesday discovered a catholic clergyman and a nun guilty in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Sis Abhaya, whose body was located in the well of a convent in Kottayam in 1992.
The judgment in this regard was articulated by CBI special court judge J Sanal Kumar.
The quantum of sentence will be pronounced on Wednesday.
The court claimed the murder costs against Dad Thomas Kottoor and also Sis Sephy guilty will stand. Both are in judicial protection.
One more charged in the case, Fr Poothrakayal was discharged previously over lack of proof.
The judgement comes 28 years after the young religious woman was found dead in the well of St Pius convent, where she stayed.
Abhaya’s moms and dads Thomas as well as Leelamma died couple of years ago waiting for justice for their little girl.
